Diabetes Education Classes
The Diabetes Care Center works with patients to manage their
diabetes. The Center offers patients education and exercise, as
well as comprehensive services including nutrition therapy to help
individuals achieve glucose control.
An interdisciplinary team of professionals develop individual
programs tailored to meet the needs and abilities of the patient.
The team consists of certified diabetes educators, registered
nurses, registered dietitians and clinical exercise
physiologists.
The Center offers a series of nine diabetes education classes. A
physician order is required by the patient to attend the classes.
Please note that there are three days where classes are offered at
Beverly Hospital at Danvers -- Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The Addison
Gilbert Hospital classes are on Tuesday.
The Diabetes Care Center is located at Beverly Hospital at
Danvers and Addison Gilbert Hospital.
