Gynecological surgery to treat pre-cancerous and cancerous
malignancies of the ovary, uterus and cervix are provided through
The Cancer Care Center. The Center brings together gynecological
surgeons from Beverly Hospital, Addison Gilbert Hospital and Beth
Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC). These surgeons work
closely with Beverly and Addison Gilbert cancer and tumor
specialists to provide patients with complex care close to
home.
Specialists at the Center utilize up-to-date, minimally invasive
procedures, which minimize discomfort and decrease recovery time.
Examples of gynecologic minimally invasive surgical procedures
include: pelvioscopy to treat abnormalities such as adhesions,
uterine tumors, endometriosis, cysts and growths; laparoscopic
hysterectomy; and laparoscopic tubal ligation.
