Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology is a subspecialty of radiology
imaging in which images are used to guide the radiologist
while performing minimally invasive procedures. These
procedures may be for diagnostic purposes or they may be employed
to treat a patient.
Our board-certified interventional radiologists perform a number
of specialized procedures. All interventional radiology
procedures listed below are performed in Beverly Hospital's
state-of-the-art Cardiovascular Suite.
- Diagnostic angiography and venography
- Peripheral and renal vascular interventions (angioplasty and
vascular stents)
- Endovascular AAA repair
- Uterine artery embolization
- Kyphoplasty and vertebroplasty
- Venous access procedures (chest ports, dialysis catheters, and
central venous lines)
- Biopsies of the lung, liver, thyroid, kidneys, lymph nodes and
numerous other organs/sites
- Biliary drainage and stenting
- Renal/ureteral drainage and stenting
- Percutaneous gastrostomy
- Diagnostic and therapeutic paracentesis
- Diagnostic and therapeutic thoracentesis
- Arthrography
- CT myelography
