Breast Health Center Patient Waiting Area Dedicated To The Friends of Beverly Hospital
Hospital recognizes long-time support of Friends
(Danvers, MA) -- Northeast Health Foundation (NHF)--the non-profit organization that works to build philanthropic support for Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals, Beverly Hospital at Danvers, Medical and Day Surgery Center and the other not-for-profit affiliates of Northeast Health System-recently honored the longtime giving and recent support of the Friends of Beverly Hospital with a dedication of the Breast Health Center patient waiting area at Beverly Hospital at Danvers.
At the dedication, members of the Friends' Board of Directors joined the Hospitals' President Stephen Laverty, Chief Operating Officer Pauline Pike, Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs Dr. Peter Short and NHF President Susan Samperi for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and reception, which highlighted the Friends' priceless contributions to the organization and the health and well-being of the North Shore communities it serves.
"Today, we are here to both congratulate and thank this very special group of individuals," said Samperi at the dedication. "Their long-time support of our organization and our mission to provide high-quality, comprehensive care to the communities that we serve is something that we are very grateful for, and it will continue to have a positive impact on the health and well-being of the North Shore for many years to come."
Throughout their near century of service, the Friends have contributed more than $1.4 million to the Hospital and its affiliates through their efforts. This includes the recent "Laugh Out Loud" fundraiser this spring, which attracted 800 women and raised $35,000 for the Breast Health Center, which provides women of the North Shore with the most sophisticated breast health diagnostic and treatment capabilities in a comfortable, convenient location.
