Rehabilitation Services Overview 

At the Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine, North Shore residents will find a unique team of individuals who take the time to build trusting and caring relationships with each and every patient. Just as important as providing rehabilitative services utilizing the most current technologies and techniques is our commitment to treat every patient as the individual they are-to get to know them, learn what is important to them, discuss their personal treatment goals, and welcome them as integral members of the care team. Northeast Hospital's rehabilitation service is comprised of over 60 board certified therapists and therapy assistants. All therapists are licensed by the state Board of Allied Health Professions once they graduate from an accredited school and pass a national examination; the same process as nurses. Physical Therapists can also be board certified in a specialty area.

 We offer comprehensive rehabilitative services for both children and adults. Our patients include: people recovering from sports injuries, a stroke or other neurological event, spinal injuries, and broken bones; those who need help with activities of daily living such as dressing and grooming; individuals with speech and swallowing disorders; and people who need hearing tests, hearing aids and other specialized audiology services.
