WHAT: Cancer specialists from Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) will provide a valuable, free information session to the public to discuss the latest advancements in the treatment of cancers of the breast, colon, lung and prostate. This presentation and discussion will include the following speakers from both organizations: Stephen Laverty, president of Beverly Hospital, Dr. Mark B. Garnick, medical director of cancer services and cancer programming for the joint Beverly Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center program and medical oncologist at BIDMC, Dr. Audrey Duva-Frissora, breast radiologist at Beverly Hospital, Dr. Deborah Nagle, chief of colon and rectal surgery at BIDMC, Dr. Prodyut K. Poddar, thoracic surgeon at Beverly Hospital, Hester Hill Schnipper, M.S.W., social worker at BIDMC and two-time breast cancer survivor, and Elisa Scher, RN, director of cancer services at Beverly Hospital.
