Foundation Honors Dr. Bistrong
Northeast Health Foundation To Honor North Shore Physician Herbert Bistrong
Evening to Include Celebration of New Main Lobby and Emergency Department at Beverly Hospital
WHAT: Northeast Health Foundation (NHF), will hold a private tribute dinner on Thursday, May 10th to honor outgoing Northeast Hospital Corporation Chairman Herbert Bistrong, M.D. The evening will include a pre-opening celebration of Beverly Hospital’s new main lobby, emergency room and surgery waiting areas and is being held in appreciation of major campaign donors. NHF is a nonprofit organization that works to maximize philanthropic support for Addison Gilbert Hospital, Beverly Hospital, CAB Health & Recovery Services and Health & Education, Services, Inc.
An internal medicine specialist, Dr. Bistrong co-founded The Medical Group practice in Beverly in 1970. It has since grown to become the largest multi-specialty group practice in the area. For more than three decades, he cared for the health and well being of the North Shore community as an active member of the internal medicine staff at Beverly Hospital. Dr. Bistrong has been involved in the leadership of Beverly Hospital and Northeast Health System for nearly as long, serving in a variety of roles, from Chief of Medicine to Vice President and President of the Medical Staff to Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Northeast Hospital Corporation.
A commissioned portrait of Dr. Bistrong will also be unveiled during the reception.
