New Trustees Named
Northeast Health System And Northeast Hospital Corporation Name New Trustees
Danvers Resident Elected as Chair of the Northeast Hospital Corporation Board
(Beverly, MA) – Northeast Health System (NHS) has recently announced the appointment of new members to the NHS and Northeast Hospital Corporation (NHC) boards of trustees. David St. Laurent, Kate Murdock and Robert Rives were appointed to the NHS Board. Jeff Bistrong, Paul Muniz and Augustine O’Keeffe, MD were appointed to the NHC Board.
The NHS Board oversees NHS’s coordinated network of hospitals, long-term care organizations, behavioral health services, and clinicians dedicated to meeting the health and human services needs of the people of Massachusetts’ North Shore communities. The NHC Board specializes in NHS’s acute care facilities, including Beverly and Addison Gilbert hospitals, BayRidge Hospital and the Beverly Hospital Hunt Center.
David St. Laurent, a Wenham resident, was appointed to the NHS board and recently retired from Electric Insurance in Beverly as the Chairman of the Board, President and CEO. He is currently a member of the Board of Catholic Charities North and previously sat on the boards of Bentley College and St. John’s Prep. He most recently served on the NHC Board.
Kate Murdock, a Beverly resident, will serve as the representative of CAB Health & Recovery Services to the NHS Board. Murdock worked in banking for many years, specializing in corporate product planning, development and management, as well as investments and institutional equities.
Robert Rives, a Manchester resident, was appointed to the NHS Board as the Northeast Senior Health representative. Rives is a partner at Burns & Levinson practicing in corporate law, intellectual property, scitech and life sciences. He was also appointed as Chairman of the Northeast Senior Services Board.
Jeff Bistrong, a Manchester resident, was appointed to the NHC Board. He founded and runs the Technology Group at Harris Williams & Co. in Boston. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Mobile Telcom Network (Holdings) Lts. in Hong Kong and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) in Boston.
Paul Muniz, a Cape Ann resident, was appointed to the NHC Board and is a partner at Burns & Levinson where he specializes in business litigation.
Dr. O’Keeffe, a Manchester resident, has been appointed to the NHC Board and is a radiologist at NHC and most recently served as president of the medical staff and chief of radiology.
In addition to the newly appointed Trustees, Nancy Palmer, a Danvers resident, was reappointed to the NHC Board for another three-year term and was also appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees for the NHC. Dr. Henry Ramini, a Topsfield resident, was reappointed to the NHS Board for another three-year term as Chairman of the Board.
