Beverly Hospital Receives Grant from Danversbank Charitable Foundation, Inc.
Funds to Support Young Mothers in Need
(Beverly, MA) - May 12, 2010 - Beverly Hospital announced today that the Danversbank Charitable Foundation, Inc. awarded a $2,500 grant to the Connecting Young Moms program. The funds will support Connecting Young Moms' emergency assistance program.
The Connecting Young Moms program at Beverly Hospital was founded in 1996, and provides comprehensive pre-and post-natal programs to young mothers who have limited resources. These programs provide support for at-risk and underserved young women from North Shore communities.
"We are extremely grateful to Danversbank Charitable Foundation and we are delighted for their continued support," said Kelli Braga, LICSW, who co-facilitates Connecting Young Moms with Donna Desmond, LICSW, and Jodie Berry, LCCE. "The Connecting Young Moms' emergency assistance program makes such a difference in the lives of young mothers in our communities. This generous grant will help these young women in their daily struggle to provide a safe and healthy home for their babies."
