Dr. Daniel McCullough recognized for dedication to improving treatment of addictions
(Beverly, MA) – May 17, 2010 – American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) recently named Beverly Hospital physician, Dr. Daniel McCullough, as Fellow to ASAM during their Annual Awards Luncheon on Saturday, April 17th, in San Francisco, California. Dr. McCullough was named Fellow for exhibiting dedication to improving the treatment of alcoholism and other addictions, educating physicians, promoting research and prevention, and enlightening and informing the medical community and the public about these issues.
ASAM Fellows have made major contributions to the quality of American Medicine, as well as the promise of improving and advancing many aspects of the Nation’s Health. Through their service, commitment, and enhancement of the field, they have made it possible for patients and their families to find physicians who are qualified to deliver evidenced based, compassionate care for alcoholism and other diseases of addiction. Their dedication to the improvement of the treatment of patients suffering from the disease of Addiction has led and continues to lead directly to better patient care.
Dr. McCullough is also a Medical Director of CAB Health & Recovery Services, Inc. (CAB). An affiliate of Northeast Health System—the parent company of Beverly Hospital--CAB is a leading substance-abuse agency serving communities across northeastern Massachusetts and greater Boston. CAB works with men, women and their children, families, youth and special populations struggling with various addictions.
Dr. McCullough is chief of Family Medicine at Beverly Hospital and a family physician with Cummings Center Medical Associates in Beverly, MA.
