Phil Cormier Named CEO of Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals
Denis Conroy to retire after more than 8 years of service to health system
BEVERLY, MA - October 28 2014 - The Northeast Hospital
Corporation Board of Trustees announced today that after two years
as CEO and six as CFO for Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals,
Denis Conroy will retire effective January 15, 2015. Phil Cormier,
the current chief operating officer, will take over as chief
executive officer.
"Each day, Denis showed his commitment to our patients and
colleagues, and we are indebted to him for his innumerable
professional contributions and for his outstanding personal
character. We congratulate him on his decision and wish him and his
family well," said Nancy Palmer, Chair, Northeast Hospital
Corporation Board of Trustees.

A well-respected leader within the Northeast and Lahey Health
communities, Cormier brings to the table a broad industry
perspective, having spent time in management at other health care
organizations.

COO, and am honored to take the reins of Beverly and Addison
Gilbert Hospitals from him," said incoming CEO, and current COO,

Conroy has been at the helm of Beverly Hospital and Addison
Gilbert Hospital for two years, expertly guiding the entities
through a period of significant changes. He has championed the
benefits of the Lahey integrated health care system and held
central the goals of great and safe patient care.

time to step aside to travel and spend more time with my family,"
