Celebrating the Herrick House
The Herrick House Celebrates 20 Years of Service to the Community
BEVERLY, MA - (December 8, 2014) - When Stephanie
Levy's father fell and broke his hip; she knew it was time her
parents moved out of their home.
With her father needing physical therapy - Stephanie wanted to
find an assisted living community close to home, while also
providing her parents - Edgar and Arlene Wallace - with a community
that would still allow them their independence.
Having heard of The Herrick House, Stephanie and her parents
visited the community. After the trios' first visit to the 88-unit
assisted living residence, they were hooked.
"I heard the place was top notch," Stephanie Levy said. "But after
touring the facility, you could see the care that they provided the
residents was exceptional, and the attention and activities that
they could provide my parents made us all feel at ease."
When The Herrick House opened its doors to the community two
decades ago last fall, it sparked a change in the health care
landscape.
"We have been enriching the lives of seniors on the North Shore
for 20 years" said Paul Rapazzo, Director of Community Relations at
The Herrick House. "We understand their needs, their desire to
remain close to family and friends, to the neighborhoods where they
lived and worked, to the things that are most familiar. We
address this need by getting to know our residents for the
individuals they are, and by delivering personalized support with
the highest level of professionalism and caring."
"Making everyone feel right at home, maintaining and improving
quality of life - this is our work, our mission, and our expertise"
said Rapazzo.
Located on the campus of Beverly Hospital, The Herrick House
provides residents with 24-hour nursing, wellness programs that
includes weekly blood pressure and weight checks, on-site
laboratory service, coordination of medical appointments,
facilitate refilling prescriptions, personal care services, as well
as a full meal service.
"I love how they take care of my parents," Stephanie Levy said.
"They're always active and the staff is very knowledgeable and
caring to my parents' needs. You don't get that intimate feeling at
a lot of other places. It really is like a family there."
