Are you at high risk?
Making the best decisions for your breast health

Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Tools
In 80 percent of women diagnosed with breast cancer, there is no
family history of the disease. Beverly Hospital's Breast Health
Center provides comprehensive care with a focus on identifying
those women in the community who may be at particularly high risk
for developing breast cancer by offering a free risk
assessment at the time of annual screening mammography.
What if you are at high risk?
Women who are identified as high risk are encouraged to meet
with a breast health specialist who can counsel them on risk
reduction measures, offer genetic testing if appropriate, and
create a personalized care plan, which includes a screening program
with state-of-the-art technologies - mammography, ultrasound and
MRI - all available.
Care and Support Tailored to Your Needs
Patients are supported by the Breast Health Center's Certified Breast Patient
Navigators who are also nurse practitioners. Thei role is
multifaceted, seeing women who may be at high risk, following up
with women who have a personal history of breast cancer, helping
women who may need a breast biopsy, and helping women in need of a
follow up care plan after diagnosis of both benign or malignant
breast disease. They works in collaboration with the
multidisciplinary team composed of breast surgeons, medical and
radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, pathologists, and
radiologists.
