Pediatric Emergency Service
The Children's Hospital Physicians at Beverly Hospital Program
extends to the Pediatric Emergency Service within Beverly
Hospital's Emergency Department, which has a Level 3 Trauma Center.
Boston Children's Hospital physicians provide evaluation,
treatment and stabilization of children of all ages with a variety
of medical problems, from acute illness to serious illness or
injury. Children who need inpatient care are admitted to the
hospital's pediatric inpatient unit, which is also staffed by
Children's Hospital physicians.
The Pediatric Emergency Service is housed in a dedicated
area--separate from where adults are seen--that caters to the needs
of children and families. It features a bright décor, a spacious
waiting area equipped with activities for children, and
examination/treatment rooms large enough to accommodate both
medical staff and family members.
