Our outpatient Nutrition Education Services at the Lifestyle Management Institute can provide the patient with specialized services to help improve nutrition habits and maximize health. Our nutrition team is comprised of registered dieticians who are exceptionally qualified to develop custom-designed medical nutrition therapy programs as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for a specific illness, injury or condition.
Medical nutrition therapy can be used as a component of treatment for a specific condition or to prevent or delay possible complications of an existing condition such as diabetes, obesity, heart disease, renal failure or eating disorders. Our nutrition professionals will work with the patient to assess current medical issues, develop a nutritional plan, assist in incorporating the plan into a daily routine and then reevaluate and give support through out the care.
A physician referral is required to participate in medical nutrition therapy. The Lifestyle Management Institute, as part of Lahey Outpatient Center, Danvers, accepts a variety of health insurances, dependent on medical diagnosis and the patient's health insurance plan.
