In addition to general eye/vision care for adults and children,
the ophthalmology department provides a wide variety of surgical
eye services for North Shore residents. These services include:
cornea surgery such as refractive eye surgery to change the shape
of the cornea and reduce the need for corrective lenses;
oculoplastic surgery to correct problems with the orbit of the eye,
including the eyelids and tear ducts; and vitreo-retinal surgery to
correct problems such as retinal tears, retinal detachment,
diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and hereditary retinal
diseases.
